Edelstein Joins VNU VNU Expositions’ Jewelry Group announced that Cindy Edelstein, founder and president of the Jewelers Resource Bureau (JRB), has joined the company as its Special Projects Director. VNU runs the Jewelers of America (JA) summer and winter shows in New York City as well as the Couture jewelry show in Las Vegas, Nevada. In her new role, Edelstein’s primary responsibility will be organizing a special design section at the Couture 2007 show: Signature Designs. Edelstein has created events aimed at jewelry designers and designer-centric sections at jewelry shows for many years. One of her most notable creations was the Design Center at The JCK Show in Las Vegas, Couture’s direct competitor. When Edelstein and JCK parted ways, she found a “perfect match” in the Couture show management. “We share a passion for serving our clients with respect and a devotion to their needs,” she said. “We champion the niche marketing concept, and we all have an entrepreneurial-like passion for creating events that make a difference for all in attendance.” Edelstein will also serve as a creative consultant for the JA New York shows, which already feature a designer section and the Couture/IJDG Design Collections Pavilion, including designers from the International Jewelry Design Guild. n Edelstein’s current role at the JRB, she helps jewelry designers build their business and promote themselves to clients and the press, and that role will continue unchanged. The JRB recently launched a new service called the JRB Network, a subscription-based service that offers designers access to marketing intelligence, tools, and tips via the JRB web site (www.jewelersresource.com).
